Toroidal Vortex, C01, S01

OK, first I created this toroidal vortex thingy -- that's the colorful lights in the center. Then I thought, something has to be generating it -- so the bulk of the technology is housed within that slightly-distorted hollow cylinder. The vortex it generates alters the shape of spacetime, and over the course of much use, the equipment has become deformed as a result. Now all of this is set in an artificial cavern deep underground, with various beams and walkways to support and make use of the vortex. That's a net stretched out below the vortex, to catch anything that might come through.
